Your questions answered
What exactly is ProductBI?
ProductBI is a product and marketing analytics partner for digital businesses. We help you track how users move through your product, which features drive retention, and how marketing campaigns contribute to long‑term value.
We focus on four areas: product analytics (funnels, cohorts, retention), marketing analytics (campaigns, conversions, ROI), data‑driven marketing and BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau and similar tools).
How does ProductBI make money?
Our business model is straightforward and transparent. We generate revenue through:
- Monthly subscriptions for access to ProductBI dashboards and analyst support.
- Project‑based services for implementation, tracking plans, data modelling, migrations and custom BI dashboards.
We do not sell financial products, crypto, forex, trading or medical services. We only provide analytics and BI services.
Which tools and data sources can you work with?
We are tool‑agnostic and adapt to your stack. Typical data sources include:
- Product event data (web and mobile applications)
- CRM and subscription/billing systems
- Marketing and advertising platforms
- Data warehouses and data lakes
For BI front‑ends, we frequently use tools like Power BI and Tableau, as well as your existing internal solutions.
What kinds of dashboards do you typically build?
Common examples include:
- Product funnels (sign‑up, onboarding, activation, feature adoption)
- Retention and cohort dashboards by plan, feature and segment
- Marketing performance and ROI dashboards by channel, campaign and creative
- Executive overviews combining product, marketing and commercial KPIs
Where is data hosted and how do you handle privacy?
We can work with infrastructure in the EU or UK depending on your requirements and stack. We follow common data protection principles: data minimisation, access control and clear retention policies.
We do not resell personal data. Our role is to help you analyse your own data to improve product performance and marketing efficiency. More details are available in our Privacy Policy.
What does a typical engagement look like?
A standard engagement starts with discovery and a tracking/measurement plan, followed by implementation and data modelling, then dashboard delivery and ongoing optimisation.
Some clients start with a smaller analytics project (for example, an onboarding funnel and marketing ROI dashboard) and grow into a subscription covering more use cases and teams.
Do you work with early‑stage or only larger companies?
We work with both early‑stage and more established digital businesses. Our pricing and scope are adapted to complexity: fewer products and data sources usually mean a smaller and faster project.
